Join us in a lush, subtropical eco-retreat nestled across from the 22,000-acre St. Sebastian River Preserve. This immersive five-day experience brings together science, food, and the rhythms of the natural world.
Nutritionist John Bagnulo and Chef Jan Buhrman will guide you through engaging lectures on the brain and cognitive health, alongside hands-on cooking classes using vibrant, nutrient-dense ingredients that support lasting energy and well-being.

Through lectures with John Bagnulo, we’ll look closely at the most current research on brain health. Together, we’ll unpack the most common—and often reversible—drivers of cognitive decline, and explore which dietary patterns truly show evidence of support, particularly in the early stages.
We’ll also step into a newer area of understanding: subjective cognitive decline—those subtle shifts we begin to notice—and what the research is beginning to reveal about its potential to be reversed. MORE TO COME …..
Our programs and retreats always incorporate well-sourced, high-quality foods, supplements, and products. All meals use ingredients from the best producers available; we look for 100% organic food, grass-fed meats, wild, regenerative growing practices, and biodynamic and glyphosate-free labeling.
With Jan providing cooking classes prior to lunch or dinner, you will learn how to prepare delicious meals that are nutrient-dense while understanding labels and food sourcing. A recipe book and sources are available for each participant.
Nutritional lectures will cover understanding the science behind the studies. John interprets studies that reinforce the importance of nutrients in health and how they affect specific aspects of disease as well as athletic abilities. We will include the most up-to-date studies on health and wellness, and we will have fun!
